Cant believe its be a whole year!!! Its gone too fast! I'm soo grateful that I chose to give this time to the Lord. I've learned soo much! The mission is really indescribable. I could just keep saying how grateful I am for it, but I'm sure that wouldn't be so fun to read. But just know, I am sooo grateful for all of it.

Not feeling the writing so here's a spiritual thought.
Here's something. I was just thinking about things. When I was in high school my sister came back from her mission and gave me a very good gospel talk that totally changed my life. As a missionary now, I realize that a lot of the things she taught me, she learned through a mission worth of study and experience. If she did nothing else on her mission, I would have said her mission was all worth it to me.
Moral: the Lord is preparing you to change lives. It may not be in the way you think. Listen to the lord and prepare. How can you prepare yourself for your own trials and to help the people around you?

Crash, transfers, pies, party, AHHHHH
Crash, transfers, pies, party, AHHHHH
Well, I don't really know what to say about this week. It really just came out of no where and slapped me in the face, and I don't know if that's a good or bad thing.
This email is long, buckle in
WE GOT WRECKED- Tuesday, we went to Weatherford for a missionary meeting. Afterwards, we wanted to go and get lunch as usual. We'll, on this particular day, we're feeling like Cane's is a great idea so we start following the Elders there. I wish I could make a long story short but you're getting the whole thing. We're on a small country road with one lane going our direction and one lane of oncoming traffic. The Elders slow done and put on their signal to turn left, and so we do the same. The car behind us, did not do that. He rear ended us going about 50 MPH and pushed us to the left, and then rear ended the Elders, scrapped against their right side, lost his wheel, and then spun and hit their front bumper from right to left. He ended up in a big ol ditch. All three cars had to be towed. Our mission nurse made us go to the ER at 10:30 pm, and we got back at 12:30. Thats the latest ive been up for a long time haha. PICS DOWN BELOW.
Anyway, we're doing fine. No one was injured which is a total blessing in itself.
A list of other little mercies that day-
☆We're alive
☆Elder Huntington had pickle flavored sunflower seeds #myfavorite
☆Elder Lucus (our car coordinator) did a little happy jig
☆the Andersons let me play soccer with them after dinner, and they gave us a big ol watermelon
☆we got a new car that day all thanks to Elder Lucus
☆We visited our Bishop and his family afterwards and they took good care of us.
PUMPKIN PARTY- One of our ward members invited us to their family Halloween party! It was legit. Games, food, costumes, someone got an egg smashed on their head.
PIE- with the holidays on the way, the pies are coming out. I've already had too much pie this week and we're just getting started. This reminds me of last year when I started my mission right before Thanksgiving. It was both amazing and terrible. My stomach will never recover. I'm bracing myself for this next holiday seazon. I'm so excited!!!
TRANSFERS- welll, Sister Hart is leaving me! She'll be going to Mansfield. I'll be staying here in Azle but I'm also gonna be over Springtown as well so that's gonna be crazy. President John really pulled a fast one on the whole mission. He opened two more Spanish zones this transfer! That's why English area are getting a little more to cover. My new companion is Sister Miller! I've met her before and I'm Supa excited!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT-
2 Nephi 26:33 For none of these iniquities come of the Lord; for he doeth that which is good among the children of men; and he doeth nothing save it be plain unto the children of men; and he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile.
Bad and unfair things happen. It's a fallen world. BUT we can't ever say that these bad things come from God because they don't. He is just and loving. He gives us agency so that we can learn. His plan is grander and bigger than we can see. Although these bad things happen, God is always welcoming you to come unto Him. He can take those hard burdens and make them light. He can take those terrible things that happen to you and make you stronger. So while He won't always stop or prevent something from happening, he can use it to help you grow.
Invitation: Have faith in Christ, show your faith by daily action...daily scripture reading and prayer. It can be hard to commit to do it everyday, so commit to doing it today. You have time today. I know that it seems too simple, but by small and simple things are great things come to pass. I promise you that if you can do this you will find power to get through trials and find greater joy in this life and the life to come.

This week was epic! I think it would best be portrayed through pictures
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT-
John 15: 4 -Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
What are these fruits? It's everything good. Peace, joy, love, success. For missionaries, it's bringing people closer to Christ and closer to making covenants with Him. Truly this is His work. How can you abide in Christ everyday? How can you let Him abide in you? I invite you to ponder and act upon what you find out :)

Invitations out the WAZOO
Invitations out the WAZOO
Sooooo this week went by so fast! We met with as many people as possible, both members and nonmembers, and did our best to invite them to do something that would help with missionary work. We are planting those seeds everywhere we go.
INTERVIEWS- I had my interviews with President AND Sister John this week. Of course, it was exactly what I needed. They both have wonderful council. One thing that was twisting my brain was our key indicators. His council was to focus on my invitations rather than focusing on how many people accept them. I loved that idea and adopted it right away. That's helped me find more joy in the work already.
SICK
- I don't know what it was but starting on Wednesday my tummy was not feeling good, but we kept hauling. I was fine as long as I had some cool air on my face from time to time. However, I woke up very early on Saturday morning feeling like death. I won't go into any type of detail but just know that it all came out somehow. I didn't eat much that day. I had 3 pieces of toast and an applesauce. Sunday was fast Sunday so I had 6 crackers for breakfast and then fasted til dinner. (I didn't have an appetite anyway so fasting was no biggie) still feeling a little iffy but I think I'm finally in the clear today.

AN INVITATION FOR YOU- There are so many people in the world, and we are all different. BUT, no matter how different we are, we can all be kind and respectful. Differences sometimes scare us and stops us from branching out. My invitation to you this week is to let differences make you curious. Branch out to those who you see as different. What can you find in common? What do you love about them? On my mission I get to see so many different types of people from so many different backgrounds, religions, cultures, etc. They have all changed my life and the way I see things, and it's all for the better. Everytime you learn, you're a little closer to seeing things the way God does, that's the biggest blessing to me. I promise as you reach out, your fear will start to fall away, you'll grow meaningful relationships, you'll appreciate differences, and your purpose on earth will become clearer to you.
I love yall! And I truly wish the best for yall, that's why I invite you to do things. I invite you to change and get out of your comfort zone because joy is found out there.

Wildin' with the whipped cream
EXCHANGES- exchanges were so fun. I got to go to Hudson Oaks with Sister Millward. They have this cute little cabin-like house. Also, I got to play volleyball cuz they're over the YSA and play all the time.
GENERAL CONFERENCE- General Conference was sooooo good. If you want to know what one of my favorite parts is, go look me up on Facebook, Sister Hart and I made a video. We need to be prepared, we need to be converted, we need to be yoked with Christ. I don't know if anyone else felt it, but this conference felt especially urgent. Let's not wait to repent, to serve, to read our scriptures or go to church. The time is now.
We got to watch conference with a lot of our great members. These two members in particular where very funny. They gave us whipped cream on our ice cream and piled it a mountain high. And then one put whipped cream all over the others head. A lot more funny things like that happened at their house. I'm so grateful for goofy people on the mission :)
MISSION MIRACLES- we had two sisters in our mission get in a serious car accident. A head on collision going about 70 miles per hour. Miraculously, through the grace of God, they're both doing alright. We love them, please pray for them.
