My friend Jo got baptized this week and I am beyond filled with gratitude and joy for her.
HALLOWEEN-Halloween is not very hype as a missionary. We had to be in the apartment by 7. Buuut, it was basically a pday so it was fun to be with over missionaries for a while. I dressed like a pumpkin kinda. Orange dress, green shirt. We had a zone meeting and got to know our zone. Also, random fact: our district is now called the ripstrict because we want to get ripped so that's something.
ZONE CONFERENCE- ahhh zone conference was so amazing. It was mostly about baptism. What I got out of it was that our baptismal convenants give us power. They really do. It's God's way of giving us His divine help to get back to His kingdom. Do we realize the power our covenants give us? They can help us with any trial that we are going through right now. They can help us everyday. Heed President Nelson's invitation and find the importance of your covenants with God.
THE MOST AMAZING DAY EVER- This was literally one of the most epic days ever. It all started with Jo's baptism. Sis. Bartlett (one of our members) was kind enough to take us 30 minutes up to Decatur. We thought the baptism started at 10:30 it was a miracle that Sis. Bartlett wanted to get there 30 minutes early! So we were on time and didn't miss it. Sister Liechty gave a talk, which was wonderful. She cried a lot. Then Jo was baptized. I can and always will remember her little whisper after "thank you Jesus" and then I gave a talk. I don't know what I said but apparently it was good. After, Jo bore her testimony. She is just the sweetest. Already she wants a calling to teach. She wants to be a help and let everyone there know that she's there to support them and help them any way that she can. I finally got a picture with Jo (below) after Jo's baptism we zoomed to Hurst for a meeting. So basically I was able to go to all my areas that day. #preciousblessings
Anyway, the meeting was really good and we got Costa Vida!! Then we zoomed all the way back to Springtown and had this epic lesson with this 15 year old kid named Calvin. His cat was so funny. It had allergies so it kept sneezing on Sister Miller. Anyway, Calvin wants to get baptized! He's reading the Book of Mormon and we're gonna keep meeting with him. I've never met such a gentleman. He would somehow always seek in a "yes ma'am" to basically anything we said. He was raised the southern way, the right way.
After that sick lesson we had dinner with this family. Not sure how we got here but the dad is on the edge about getting his temple recommend renewed. We were able to bear our testimonies about the temple, and we invited him and his wife to come with us in December! We hope and pray he'll take those steps.

So yeah, that was just one day today. I would write more but I think I already wrote too much. My mission will mean more to me than anyone else. If you want to feel the way I feel, serve a mission !!
SPIRITUAL THOUGHT-it's somewhere in the middle of this hehe. The Lord loves effort.
