Guys...wattaburger isn't that good
EXCHANGES- I had exchanges this week, it was so good. I left my area for a bit and was able to learn so much from Sister Pela. It also gave me the energy and motivation to keep pushing forward in my area.
WATTABURGER EXPERIENCE- My Bishop loves Wattaburger so of course we had to try it...it's not as good as it's hyped up to be, sorry if that triggers people. They also had a Dr. Pepper shake that I thought would be good...it wasn't that good yall. For people wondering, I would rate Wattaburger somewhere around McDonald's, maybe even lower.
SPAGHETTI DINNER- the Young Men had a spaghetti dinner fundraiser. For some reason in my brain, this is the start of getting too many treats. They had an auction there and our members bought us cookies. Then, we got cake at dinner and more cookies at church and big muffins from out downstairs neighbor
it probably has something to do with Easter, but it was just so crazy.

ANOTHER COACKROACH EXPERIENCE: I like to pretend that I'm brave and not a lot of things scare me...but cockroaches... are... the spawn of satan. So yeah, I was just doing some service at a dress shop when I see one on the wall. I didn't have the heart to kill it, not because I wanted it to live, but because I couldn't stand to hear the sound of the crunch lol. So I had to sweep it all the way from the back to the front of the store and out the door, all the while screaming my head off.
A VERY GOOD POEM:
Good Timber by Douglas Malloch
The tree that never had to fight
For sun and sky and air and light,
But stood out in the open plain
And always got its share of rain,
Never became a forest king
But lived and died a scrubby thing.
The man who never had to toil
To gain and farm his patch of soil,
Who never had to win his share
Of sun and sky and light and air,
Never became a manly man
But lived and died as he began.
Good timber does not grow with ease:
The stronger wind, the stronger trees;
The further sky, the greater length;
The more the storm, the more the strength.
By sun and cold, by rain and snow,
In trees and men good timbers grow.
Where thickest lies the forest growth,
We find the patriarchs of both.
And they hold counsel with the stars
Whose broken branches show the scars
Of many winds and much of strife.
This is the common law of life.
This poem is one to remember in your hard times. What are your trials teaching you? How are they strengthening you? I know that we all have a divine nature as children of God with the power and ability to get through all these trials with the help, guidance, and support that comes from using the Atonement of Jesus Christ.
Here's another favorite saying from one of my favorite childhood movies..tell me if you know what movie it's from..."don't let the fear of striking out keep you from playing the game." There is so much that you have to offer, so whatever the situation is, don't be afraid. Whether that is a test, a game, a job, a task that needs to be done, a person that needs to be talked to and served, a prayer that has to be spoken, or a sorry that has to be said.
What have you been afraid to face? Pray about it and act upon what Heavenly Father tells you do to. This will give you confidence and a stronger faith in yourself and Heavenly Father, I promise.
Pics of the week, just realized half of them are food lol, that pretty much sums it up
